Our theme for the 2022 WARBC Annual Conference is Majoring on the Minor Prophets (see what we did there?) :-) The dates for the conference are October 23-24, 2022.
You can click here to find out more information and register.
You can catch the Sessions on Livestream through Calvary Baptist Church's YouTube Channel.
After a fellowship dinner together, Jeremy Scott (Memorial Baptist - Verona / WARBC State Educator) will start the conference on Sunday night with an overview of the Minor Prophets to give the big picture and essential background information about this genre of Scripture.
On Monday, after our annual business meeting at 8:00 AM, in our second session, Bill Mattox (Meadowood Baptist – Madison / Council of Six Chairman) will discuss the most famous of the Minor Prophets, Jonah. But don’t let the notoriety of the book fool you. There are deep riches to mine inside the book, and Bill can’t wait to share those with you.
In session three, Jack Austin (Calvary Baptist – Wisconsin Rapids) will teach an overview of Habakkuk in the fourth and final session of the conference. Other than being unsure how to pronounce the book’s title, most Christians do not know what the book is about! Jack will help us understand why Habakkuk is important and may help us know how to pronounce the title!
Finally, Steve Svendsen (Providence Reformed Baptist – Rice Lake) will cover Obadiah. Of all the Minor Prophets, Obadiah is the shortest. Even though we don't know much about Obadiah as a person, his book is an imporant additon to our Bibles. Steve will explain who/what Edom is and why that is important to know.
